The Halo Ball
Our second Halo Ball saw growth in both guest numbers and funds raised, as we celebrated the courage and resilience of women and their children, while raising much needed funds for those women who are impacted by the national epidemic that is domestic and family violence.
Over 480 social influencers and guests attended, raising just over $139,000. The night featured Channel Nine’s Deborah Knight as MC and entertainment from Ricki-Lee, the Police Rock Band and The Newtones, an a cappella group from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts.
Special guest of the evening was undoubtedly BaptistCare’s long-term client, Mary*, whose personal story highlighted the ongoing need for vital frontline services for women and children who are living in pain and seeking to escape and rebuild their lives, free from violence, fear and control.
The Halo Ball is again confirmed for 2018, to be held on Friday 4 May at Doltone House – Darling Island in Sydney.
