BaptistCare’s $35million aged care centre, The Gracewood Centre in Kellyville was officially opened, boasting 138 spacious rooms and completing The Gracewood Community’s full offering of aged care services.

New Retirement Villages Acquired
We formally acquired three local retirement villages from Newcastle City Council; llambie Court at New Lambton, Kiah Court at Jesmond and Carinya Court at New Lambton.

Our new YouChoose website took out the top gong at the Information Technology in Aged Care (ITAC) 2016 awards in Melbourne.

New Look Orana Unveiled
Our two year redevelopment of BaptistCare Orana Centre was unveiled, with DJs from local radio station Star 104.5 FM, Rabbit and Julie Goodwin, live broadcasting from our new centre.

Addressing Financial Exclusion
We launched our Financial Inclusion Action Plan (FIAP) to strengthen financial inclusion and the resilience of disadvantaged Australians, particularly women escaping domestic violence.

The Gracewood Community Stage 2
Stage 2 of The Gracewood Community, comprising 80 independent living apartments in Kellyville, was opened by the Hon. Ray Williams MP, Member for Castle Hill and Hills Shire Mayor, Yvonne Keane.

100 Pastoral Care Volunteers Trained
Our Volunteer Pastoral Care Program reached a milestone of 100 trained pastoral care volunteers across the state, who are providing emotional and spiritual support to seniors either in their own homes or in BaptistCare centres.
